Hear from some of the people who have taken our classes
In November 2008 we studied Spanish at Largo Azul Restaurant, we had such a great experience that we knew we needed to come back. It took four years, by 2012 my wife and I had everything worked out at home. We returned thinking we would travel Nicaragua and study at different schools. The first two weeks were in San Juan del Sur, then we traveled to a different town and studied for two more weeks. At that time we knew we had made a mistake and longed to be back in San Juan del Sur. We spent the rest of our time in Nicaragua studying in SJDS. We decided we wanted to live in Nicaragua and we returned in October 2012 and have studied here at Lago Azul Spanish School for ten months. Our Spanish has improved to the point we have little trouble speaking to anyone in Nicaragua. If you want to learn to speak, read, and write Spanish in a tranquil location (the school is right on the beach) in a country with friendly people we highly recommend Largo Azul Spanish School in San Juan del Sur Nicaragua. The school can prepare for your stay in SJDS and any activities you wish to participate in (the beaches are wonderful).

I am just completing a week at Lago Azul Spanish School in San Juan del Sur
Nicaragua. It operates out of the open air restaurant of the same name right
on the beach. This is an excellent school for a number of reasons, and it
has been a great exerience. The school is professionally operated, and staff
are friendly, personable, and fun to be with. More important, they want you
to have fun and a good experience. Rosa my instructor has nine years of
experience, was flexible, and tailored instruction to my individual needs as
a learner. We began with a test designed to assess my current knowledge. The
course includes three after class activities, and our group opted for dance
lessons, a visit to playa Marcella, and the churches and market at Rivas.
The home stay is very comfortable with all of the modern conveniences, the
hosts are great people and the food is great also. All of this, including 20
hours of instruction, 7 days home stay with a private room and bath and
three meals a day, free WIFI and coffee at Lago Azul, is a very reasonable
230.00. Try it, and you will be back.
